Yet, Bill's exceptional software validation work at Intel earned
this award, which was presented through Spherion Professional Services.


Optical Society of America Award
Optical Society Award
The  optical Society of America presented this award to Bill and Joseph P. Rosbeck for their
pioneering R&D on Wavelength Division Modulation.  Bill and Joe designed and built a 6-foot-long,
low-pressure-excited-gas light modulator for data communications.     


US Navy Award
Navy Award
The  US Navy presented this award to Bill and Joseph P. Rosbeck for their
pioneering R&D on Wavelength Division Modulation.  Bill and Joe designed and built a 6-foot-long,
low-pressure-excited-gas light modulator for multimedia communications.


Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins Award
Bill received this award from Johns Hopkins University for his design of
a real-time hardware and software system for hearing-impaired persons
to visually evaluate their speech production.  
(Note: Bill's own hearing is excellent).
